Sales Director (New York)

The Director of Sales will be driven and entrepreneurial with a successful track record of consistently overachieving sales quotas within fast pace and high-growth Enterprise Software environments.

S/he will be responsible for territory and account sales strategy, new customer acquisition, and existing account management and expansion. This is a senior level position at this time, reporting directly to the CEO. The position is measured by and expected to achieve all agreed-upon sales goals for the assigned territory and accounts.


  • Develop insightful understanding of Decision Engines markets and customers to identify, qualify, and engage in high-impact new customers
  • Perform in-depth analysis of customer’s business and technical requirements to develop clear and appropriate strategic sales plans for each account
  • Maintain accurate planning and forecasts reporting to the CEO as needed and Board of Directors if required
  • Consistently achieve sales quotas based on company revenue goals
  • Maintain an advanced understanding of the Decision Engines platform and solution suite while conducting market research to recommend product positioning and pricing strategies
  • Collaborate across company functions to suggest new offerings and areas for improvement
  • Drive wider business development activities across assigned territory and assume ongoing customer success activities leading to account upsell opportunities
  • Play a lead role in building and maintaining the Decision Engines brand in their customer and partner markets
  • Be a key partner to the CEO, supporting tactical and strategic initiatives to ensure the company’s continued growth


Qualified candidates will combine an undergraduate (or graduate) degree, professional experience in directly-relevant technologies, and a demonstrated appetite and aptitude for ongoing skills development. Minimum qualifications are:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s Degree preferred
  • Proven success in enterprise software and/or business technology products and services sales
  • Demonstrated knowledge of either RPA, Artificial Intelligence, cloud computing, or Digital Transformation concepts
  • Creative and entrepreneurial: must have the ability to succeed within emerging company and market conditions
  • Disciplined and rigorous, with exceptional attention to detail
  • Outstanding strategic and conceptual thinking skills, able to adjust and see opportunity within emerging market conditions
  • Must be exceptionally trained and skilled in consultative sales
  • Exceptional client-facing abilities, presentation skills, and self-confidence, yet empathetic to the audience with the ability to convey complex concepts in simple terms
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to build the strong relationships critical to the success of this role inside and outside of the company
